met the boss
i drove up to the my new shop after work. it's quite a hike. according to mapquest it's 46 miles from work. it took about an hour. i expected ernie to be, um, let's just say...older. ernie's the man! super nice guy. i'm really happy to be riding for his shop. so i tried on the jersey and shorts and hope verge comes through and gets us our team kit by yankee next month. ernie was really helpful in answering all my stupid questions and he may even get the 29er for me. i also found out that i can't rebuild my fork. ernie made some phone calls and apparantly manitou doesn't make rebuild kits for stuff older than '03. looks like i'll need a new fork too. ouch! this mountain biking stuff is already getting WAY expensive and the season hasn't even started! time for a second job? dan's working two jobs to support his habit too!
i'm still feeling crappy. the cold has worked its way into my lungs. i'm tired with another very long day at work tomorrow, but i've mustered up enough energy to lift some weights. actually, typing between sets right now. it's actually made me feel a little better. okay, a couple of more sets and then i need some rest. the weather forecast is still looking decent for the weekend, and i still plan on getting out both days!

the best part, I like you second job better than the first, but only about 40 days and I'm done with that. oh was thinking about a trip to Yankee to pre-ride.
yeah, a pre-ride trip to yankee is definitely in order. a stop at the fort is a must as well.
