oh for the sake of f#@&!!!

didn't get the bike this weekend. nope. no-siree, bob. i was all ready to go to the shop and buy it when i called to make sure it was still there. luck has it, it was sold a couple days prior. grrrr!!!! someone doesn't want me to have the bike. i knew that trek didn't have anymore in stock so i guess i was s.o.l. they told me trek was doing an early release of '07 29ers and would be receiving them the end of may/early june. so, no 29er for addison. no 29er for boyne. shit.

i did some more thinking this morning. i'll just get the quiring and put some cheaper parts on and upgrade when i can. that way, i can get a bike through the shop and be happy with a custom job. so, that's it. i'm emailing scott tomorrow and getting the ball rolling. i'm assuming it won't be done until close to the end of june. oh well, the best things come to those who wait.

i am sooooo not ready for addison next week. my riding this weekend consisted of 6 non-stop laps at maybury good for 36 miles and today i could only muster 2 laps at pontiac. so, only 57 miles for the weekend. ugh! soupy and paula did a triple poto yesterday! now that is hard core! both on a single speed, no less! sounds like they're both ready for the race next weekend. i was hurtin' pretty good after 6 laps at maybury. that's pretty fucking sad. all i know is that addison is going to be BORING! 6 laps at maybury and my mind was already going numb. i can't imagine doing 10-14 more laps. we'll see how i do. i'm assuming i'll bow out after 6 hrs. can you say DFL? yeah, i'm pretty positive, eh? but, i'm being realistic about this race. i have no endurance. period.
